Membership Criteria
ABGO welcomes members from many nationalities as well as Australians, including legal entities, organisations or individuals, which fall into one of the following categories:
- an Australian citizen employed or living in Oman.
- an Omani subsidiary of a registered Australian company.
- an Omani based agent of an Australian registered company.
- a legal entity or individual conducting regular trade and/or services with Australia or Australian businesses in Oman.
- individual members of other GCC Australian Business Groups.
- having regard to the objectives of ABGO, senior Omani citizens deemed appropriate by a simple majority of the Executive Committee can be extended an “Honorary Membership”.
- having regard to the objectives of ABGO, any other legal entity or individual deemed appropriate by a simple majority of the Executive Committee.
Our members therefore represent a broad cross section of people and organisations that share our objective of promoting trade between Australia and Oman.
Associate members are people that are not Omani residents, but are residents of other GCC countries and have joined the Australian Business Group in the country of residence.
This membership category is ideal for regularly travelling people that are interested in networking opportunities.
Corporate members are given two complimentary individual memberships that can be transferred at no cost and carry full individual membership rights.
Individual memberships are open to people that fall in to one of the categories outlined above.
Individual members are welcome to attend member’s only events.

A Young Professional is an Omani citizen under 35 years of age who is a graduate or enrolled student of an Australian education provider holding a Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students provider code or equivalent accreditation.
